076 Three Monsters

Circling back to name my "top three monsters" I decide to just name three that I'm into right now. So here they are!

• Sphinxes. Mysterious, intelligent, powerful ... cruel. What's not to like? I lump Manticores, Llamasu and other chimeric creatures of ancient lore with a human head into the same bucket. I don't remember if I said it on the cast, but I love some of the Magic the Gathering sphinx art, like Glyph Keeper, Inspired, Argent, Citywatch, Ominous, Curator, Enigma, Riddle Master, Serra, Sharuum, and this Manticore
• Githyanki. A rebellious race of warriors who love their silver swords and live in ethereal castles! Check out the cover of the Fiend Folio!
• Giants. I talk a bit about giants and giant society, the Nephilim, and Straggler from Atlantis by Manly Wade Wellman (which appeared in Swords Against Darkness).
